Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 7, 2025

1. Introduction

Welcome to swtpnts! This Privacy Policy describes how swtpnts ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use our iOS mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in a transparent manner. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1. Information You Provide Directly

  • Account Information: When you create an account, we collect information such as your email address and a user ID generated by Firebase Authentication.
  • App Content: As a dynamic schema generator and agentic list, the App processes input you provide to generate schemas, apply them to text, and manage your lists, charts, chats, and reminders. We strive to process as much of your list content locally on your device as possible. However, certain features, especially those leveraging AI (like schema generation, agentic input, and chat functionalities), may require sending portions of your input or relevant context to our secure backend servers for processing. We do not use this content to identify you personally or for advertising purposes.

2.2. Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Data (via Google Analytics): We use Google Analytics for Firebase to collect anonymous data about how you interact with the App. This includes, but is not limited to, how often you use certain features, the duration of your sessions, and app crashes. This data helps us understand usage patterns and improve the App's functionality and user experience. Google Analytics typically collects data like device identifiers (e.g., Instance ID), IP addresses (anonymized), and broad geographic locations, but it is not used to identify individual users.
  • Server-Side Logging (for Operations Support): To ensure the stability, security, and performance of our services, our backend servers automatically collect certain operational logs. This may include:
    • Your IP address (typically anonymized after a short period)
    • Timestamps of requests
    • Request details (e.g., API endpoint called)
    • Error messages and stack traces (for debugging)
    • Information about the response to your request
This data is strictly used for debugging, monitoring, maintaining, and improving the operational aspects of the App's backend infrastructure.
  • Device Information: We may collect information about the device you use to access the App, including the device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers. This helps us ensure compatibility and optimize the App for various devices.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for various purposes:

  • To provide and maintain the App's core functionalities (schema generation, agentic lists, charts, chat, and reminders).
  • To personalize your experience and improve the App based on your usage and feedback.
  • To analyze and understand App usage trends to enhance performance and develop new features (via Google Analytics).
  • To monitor and analyze the operational health, security, and performance of our backend services (via server-side logging).
  • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues or fraudulent activity.
  • To provide customer support and respond to your inquiries.
  • To communicate with you about App updates, new features, and important notices.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information in the following situations:

  • With Service Providers: We may share your information with third-party vendors and service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, data analytics (Google Analytics), and infrastructure support. These providers are obligated to protect your information and use it only for the purposes for which it was disclosed.
  • For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).
  • Business Transfers: If swtpnts is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.
  • With Your Consent: We may disclose your personal information for any other purpose with your explicit consent.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. When we no longer need to process your data for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, we will delete or anonymize it in accordance with applicable laws.

Operational logs and aggregated analytics data may be retained for longer periods to ensure the security and performance of our services, but this data is anonymized where possible and does not identify you personally.

6. Your Data Protection Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your data:

  • Right to Access: You have the right to request copies of your personal data.
  • Right to Rectification: You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate or complete information you believe is incomplete.
  • Right to Erasure: You have the right to request that we erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • Right to Restrict Processing: You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • Right to Object to Processing: You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • Right to Data Portability: You have the right to request that we transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

8. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you become aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.
